I've heard rumors of a hardware refresh later in the year. Hold on while I try to find where that was...
EDIT: Nope, can't find it. Maybe I was imagining it. _________________ It was a dark dream, darlin', it's over

There are rumors of them changing some hardware and slashing prices. So it might be a good idea to hold on. Also, there really aren't that many "bitchin" games announced in the near future for it. Especially if not into the fare Atlus has chosen for the 360.
The original ones have no HDMI for instance, which prevents me from displaying full 1080p on my bitchin new tv. |

This thread was a good idea Saycke. I was wondering the same thing myself. _________________ "I want a tattoo over my heart that reads TRY HARDER YOU LAZY PARAMEDIC SHITBAG OR I WILL HAUNT YOUR BEDROOM FOREVER" - Warren Ellis |

Hardware changes would be nice... Maybe I'll hold off for a little while. I don't want to wait too long though.
Slaughter and Raithgar need to get their asses in this thread posthaste. |

No, you weren't imagining it.

I don't know if it's definite I don't think Microsoft has said anything official, but maybe they'll say something at E3 (July)? |

Until the new hardware the fail rate is still 10%.
Unless you have a really nice computer, Mass Effect, KOTOR if you missed out on them, and Oblivion if you missed out on them as well.
Oh yeah! Gears of War if you have friends. _________________ The hopeful monster cries in the moonlight. |

I don't see how that was even remotely funny.
Zach, if you're seriously going to suggest an Elder Scrolls title to me, please don't ever suggest a game to me again. |

It would be best to wait till the new hardware gets into production (Re: Jasper Chipset)..
However one thing of note, there is another rumor going around about the possiblility of the next version of the 360 will sport a BR player. I've been looking for some documentation, but havn't found any as of yet. It's most likely false, But I would like to see something a little more solid than what I found recently.
(The BR enabled 360 is rumored to replace the Elite model)
Been doing a massive debug on the site, sorry for getting here late. _________________

My bad, I thought your suggestion of even a possibility of the company that brings you 20 gig hard drives for a hundred dollars, wireless adapters for also a hundred dollars, and charges for online play, wallpapers and thumbnail pictures for your profile; including something "extra" with anything was intended as a joke. A hilarious one. |

I would suggest you get a ton of AA batteries, or the charger thing. MS says a controller lasts 30 hours on one pair, but from my experience it doesn't... |

Thanks!
^ Lasts closer to maybe 12, one of the reasons I hit a pawnshop to get me a wired one (the others being that you can use the wired one with your pc, and that the dpad on the wired pad is actually usable).
Do sixaxxis/dualshock 3's need regular batteries? |

I think they use USB ports to charge, if I remember correctly. Pretty convenient, I wish that Nintendo and Microsoft would have done something similar. _________________ MSN - dualisacat@hotmail.com; XBL/AIM - Dual is a cat; PSN - Dualisacat

I have third-party rechargable packs for Wii. They plug right into the USB ports. They run pretty cheap, too. _________________

You may want to wait for one of the Jasper units, which are supposed to be more reliable. However if you want one now just look for a Falcon, so far they seem to be pretty dependable, but time will tell. They aren't going to add wifi to any new units, it's jsut a way of lowering costs while also trying to fix the problems with it in one fell swoop. _________________ "Follow your instincts, I told her time and time again not to swallow pink drinks, I guess that's just how the hollow link clinks, V, the fink who made the chink in the mink wink, they say he need a shrink..." - Viktor Vaughn |
