which part of my post u didn't understood?? i told that i'm giving for free(it's a GOOD WILL if someone wants to give me something in exchange)...i played asian version till 359lvl and now in this one i'm 185lvl and it never crossed mine mind to cheat(like leveling glitch)..i spawned mine friend in Boletaria by Ostrava(2nd) and he dropped me PBs..and i posted here that with only GOOD WILL,if someone needs help,so please..don't call me a cheater when i just wanted to help other players..

My problem: I have wasted about 15 ephemerals on getting world 4 to PBWT so far. Either I forget to sign out of PSN before starting the game or - yeah I'm dumb - I kill back phantoms.

Even the stupid dual katana BP I kill that banana then jump off the cliff and get sent to the adjudicator stone. Aaaarrrgh. Back to the Nexus and my tendency is neutral again.

F this. Just somebody gimme one of these things. I have visited the first black skellie sooooo many times now in PBWT it aint funny.

Sorry for the rant. Getting a little frustrated.

anyone know for sure which skele has the best drop, cause the one in the secret passage is a lot faster.

So, tell me if I am doing something wrong and if I am tell me how to correct it. A list of each person's own procedure here would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT:

Here's what has been written so far:

1. The char's LUCK score has little to do with the Skele dropping a Pure.
2. The LSoS does not effect the chance of getting a Pure.
3. CT has no effect as well. WT MUST be PB in order for the Skele to appear though.
4. According to silvain's statistics (thanks a lot man) it will take more or less 2:40 to get a Pure, unless extremely bad luck gets in the way.

Soooo... I guess I am not doing something wrong...

I know nothing about this. I did, however, read a chat about it on a PSN chatroom where a guy had like 7 of them on this one character with like 99 luck and large sword of searching. He hunted in pure black also. No idea how long it took him.

level 200, NG ++++, Luck = 66, no Lsos, Class = thief. I got the pure bladestone in under fifteen minutes. Got my platinum.. Feels good. I just felt like posting this incase someone wants to try it my way. If anything I can give you my sharp dagger +5 so you can get the trophy.

It took me over 40+ hrs of farming to get one.

Anyway, LSoS does NOT, repeat NOT, help. LSoS increases drop rate but here's the catch, the 2 skeletons that can drop Pures has a drop rate of 100%. LSoS only increases drop normal drops not rare. People who says it helps are prescribing to the Lucky rabbets foot theory.

PBWT does help but not absolutely necessary. You can check the the Cristal Lizard drop rates in the Guide as an example. I got my Pure at near black but not pure black (damn that online WT glitch!). I got it from the Black Skelly in the secret passage.

Luck, does not help either. I've heard of people getting pures with luck 7 to 99. It's all about your Real Life Luck. And if your Real Life Luck is like mine, you'll be farming for a while longer.

ok so heres the magic that made it finally happen.

after many hours trying (I was doing the secret passage before), then watching the youtube video depicting people duping items and getting obscene quantities of souls, i decided I would break the Demons souls disc (literally) if I didn't get PB within the next 5 tries.

got it on the 3rd try.

i had been using the lsos and after reading the forums i took it off for those last three tries... doubt it actually was the culprit but thought i'd post...

someone stop me before i use it on my sharp winged spear...

winged spear at sharp+5 is very versatile and great against the AI monsters. I suggest the sharp uchi +5 for PVP though. I've tried both, and the uchi eats face when it is 2 handed: great range, speed, and attack power plus a wide arc for avoiding 3 vs 1 gangbangs. The spear,though, is also versatile in that it does well in PVP, but don't try to turtle-mode it or you'll get eaten. 2 handing the spear makes it quite dangerous, and double tapping R2 gives you a nasty combo that looks pretty sweet.

It's up to your preference.

As mentioned, they have a 100% drop rate, so they always drop something. This is the chance the LSoS and luck would improve on, but as it's already 100%, they should have no effect (assuming what we know of the drop mechanics is true).

The chance of that drop being a pure bladestone is still very small, and supposedly only improved by world tendency.

He is very correct about that. All the Mirdan posers make me sick honestly it is like everyone forgot there are two other pole weapons both of which are capable of just as much damage.

I resent that statement. I do have a tearing scythe in my arsenal but the mirdan feels better in my hands. It's the first weapon since my original battle axe that is just perfect. The scythe is better for enemies such as slugs where you need a straight down trajectory. Much like I still like the Demonbrands R2 for Mosquitos. But as my default goto weapon, I'm sorry to annoy you, I'll stick with my mirdan. tkvm

The Scythe does slashing damage (or normal physical) while the Mirdan Hammer does crushing, no? And as such the Scythe shouldn't deplete blockers' stamina as much.

I had one and I used it on my Uchigatana +5. I like the Katana formfactor, I just wish it had a useful R2 attack.

4-2 is in Pure Black Tendency, my LUCK is 12

The sharp war scythe +5 and a sharp +5 sidearm are for a dexterity build.

PBWT, 2 hours a day for the past 7 days
100+ kills of the Skelly in the tunnel with a combination of PWCT and PBCT.
Gave up killing the BP Skelly after around 200, some PWCT and some PBCT.
Went back to the tunnel with PBCT and my big wrench, stopped counting......
I have 99 Chunks of Bladestone a headache and this frakkin' thing finally.

Those are specific occasions, its only natural for bosses to drop specific loot. But you are correct nonetheless.

Dexterity is my nighest non VIT/END spec. And it's tearing, it scales S on DEX. Plus it will make you bleed rather quickly. But it's a matter of preference. I'm just not enjoying it as much ...

I am enjoying the sharp Flamberge so that is where my pureblade will go. If I ever find it. (was playing online last night so world 4 is neutral again...)

Took me about 100 kills of the dual katana skeleton in the hidden passage. PBWT, neutral CT, went from about SL 50-something to SL 90 while doing that.

I found the hidden passage skel a lot easier than the BP skel. Both getting there and killing, and getting back - I don't have soul sucker, and killing the BP one is quite a choir with melee.

Shouldn't the LSoS be useless on a Black Phantom considering how they already have a drop rate of 100% and they give only a single item ?

Instead, isn't it a little faster to kill the Skeleton before the Adjudicator's room ? It won't farm souls but should be faster for the Pure Bladestone.

Does it have to be PBWT in order for the Black Skeleton in the secret passage to drop a Pure Bladestone? I need one for my sharp uchi and from all the rage that I'm seeing in this thread, I am definitely not looking forward to it.

I have probably killed him over 500 times, no Pure. As far as I know only the BP and the hidden passage skelly's give up Pure Bladestone.

Yes, I never heard of any other dual katana skels - besides the one in the secret passage -dropping pure bladestone either.
