Figured it'd be good to have a thread for people trying to create their own perfect builds. Share any tips or methods you figure out about the fusion and demon source system here!

How to make "perfect" skill set demons:

Step 1: Get good demon sources with the skills you want and make demon with good resists. Make a mitama. Get money.
Step 2: Save game.
Step 3: Fuse Mitama + Source onto demon, shuffle skills until you get the desired outcome. Repeat with different sources until you have the desired perfect skill set. Register demon in compendium, and output a password. Write it down. DO NOT SAVE GAME.
Step 4: Quit to the main menu or reset your DS.
Step 5: Load game.
Step 6: Input password.
Step 7: Buy that demon! It's probably going to be super expensive though if it's loaded with endgame skills. You still have all of your sources you used on it, but are probably much poorer!

Is there any way to change the skills a demon will inherit when making a standard fusion? Like, if one of my demons being fused has Megaton Press but the resultant demon gets Dormina instead, is there any way to shuffle the skills, or am I stuck with that skill unless I use a Source?

definitely one my biggest pet peeves.

also they could have made it a thousand times friendlier with the Source shuffling thing. I mean I'm gonna bit A-B until I get the skills I want anyway, why not just LET ME SELECT THEM?

Yeah, that is really annoying. One of the best things about Devil Survivor's fusion system was that you could pick the skills you wanted. Why didn't they keep that system in, when it is obviously better? In Persona 3 I would literally be sitting there for hours shuffling back and forth waiting for that perfect combination of skills to show up. Waste of my time!

I'm not really sure what that word means Onion, but it makes me feel kinda' icky.

I see a lot of fusions with the skill Jihad. I don't want to cheat and use a password to get one of these demons, but where does the skill Jihad come from? I haven't seen a single demon without it yet and I'm at the end of the game.

I thiiiiink Shiva comes with Jihad, but it's been a while, so my memory may be fuzzy.
