Most helpful team mates?

I usually keep everyone pretty evenly leveled, but I tend to use Akihiko and Mitsuru a lot more than anyone else. The last slot goes to whoever's most useful at the time.

I found for boss fights my best party was yukari for just healing/support, akihiko for the debuffs and decent damage, and aigis for the party buffs. I mean with that setup i could easily beat every boss i came across with thor hitting 2k
but it worthwhile to spend the time leveling everyone to a similar level in case you need to make and changes to your play style

That's a tough question, I've used all sorts of party configurations between the original P3 and now, and I haven't really found one that doesn't work just fine for anything the game throws at you, except for a few obvious things, like two lightning weak characters against a lightning spamming boss.

In the end, the only character I refuse to take out of my team, is Koromaru, because I love Koromaru. He's the doggy. Doggies are awesome. Based on the numbers though, I don't really know, they all seem to work pretty darn well. I wont say the balance is perfect, if you spend enough time dissecting it, I'm sure you'll find some characters edging out, but compared to a lot of RPGs of this nature, I find the balance between characters to be a cut above the norm.

Well Yukari is good for support, but not for attacks.
Junpei...well he is good at physical attacks, but not for fire.
Akihiko: He has good debuffs and ma/ziodyne, which is good, i suppose, but his physical attacks aren't very good.
About Mitsuru, she has strong ice-based attacks, and mind charge, healing-not bad.
Fuuka...
Aigis: THE BEST! She has good physical attacks and party buffs, and diarahan.
Koromaru: Well i haven't played the game a while, so i don't remember much...but he hesn't got good fire, but mudo is strong.
Ken...He is good for support and he has good physical attacks, for the ziodyne i don't know...

The best team(for me) is:
MC, Aigis, Mitsuru and Ken or Akihiko

I used Mitsuru/Akihiko/Yukari. Each of them could heal, they could cover the elements I couldn't (I mainly stuck to fire), and though they had weaknesses they were useful.

I used Yukari, Mitsuru and Ahkihiko. It covers all the basics, like the elements, the consistent ability to heal and all the attack types (Peirce, Strike and Slash).
All the other characters really aren't so hot. Despite how costly the hama and mudo skills are, once you hit lvl 99 you're health and SP goes to 999, so it's really not so hard on you then. No point to Ken or Koro.

Uh, I think you have that flipped--

who cares that your SP/HP are 999 at lvl 99, there isn't anything worth fighting with your team anyway at that point and you've already pretty much finished the game.

I agree with Yukari, Mitsuru and Akihiko being the perfect team, though. You've got one dedicated all-party healer, a debuffer and a powerhouse. Then again, in P3 your party members aren't very usefull in the first place, they're kinda filler for turns unlike P4.

Well mine are always
Akihiko,Yukar and Aigis.They seem to be perfect team mates to me.
Akihiko seems to have the best Electricity skill and power drainage thing.
Yukari-An Excellent heal/support team mate.Her Garu skills are prtty great as well.
Aigis-Her attacks and persona are simply Outstanding.

I used to take Mitsuru but her weakness against fire tends to get very annoying as she is a little too weak.

Yukari, Mitsuru and Akihiko were my favourites for battle, spent most of the game with them even though the game kinda encourages the use of all members.

I used Akihiko, Junpei and either Ken or Yukari depending on the fight. Occasionally I used Aigis. I never used Koro-chan because his instant kill death spells never work in boss fights and only sometimes work during normal fights. Give me guaranteed damage over a possible instant kill any time.

Depends on what boss.

There are some bosses in hard mode that it would be a BAD IDEA to use Aki or Aigis because of their weakness. I had to use Yuka-tan for a certain wind one, and now I find myself having to use Junpei for a certain annoying fire one.

I rotate a lot but I find myself using the robot/sempai/dog combination often. I think it's because the dog has a VERY high dodge rate.

Junpei - He's a bro. Marakukaja also saves you a turn of buffing and can save your life, and his physical attacks and regen become insanely powerful in the late game.

Yukari - Really don't like her, but her healing is best.

Akihiko - Debuffs for you, and has pretty balanced stats.

Mitsuru - High powered Ice and status attacks, and can heal.

Aigis - Especially helpful since she can buff all stats and use Dekunda. Diarahan and Samarecarm is also good.

Koromaru - High powered Fire and Curse, and that's about it, unfortunately, which you can do yourself without much trouble. Pity, I really want the doggie on the team. Better for random battles.

Ken - Don't like him, but he's also a good healer and has Expel skills. Again, better for random battles than bosses.


Overall I'd say, Junpei, one of the healers, than either Aigis or Akihiko makes for the most well-rounded team, unless you're willing to buff or heal the team yourself for teammates like Mitsuru to get in high-powered attacks.

my party is usually junpei aigis yukari

junpei does what junpei does, being an overall badass and nuking things, marakuaja also is very VERY useful and imo the best buff in the game

aigis plays support with the occassional attack and healing. she has them support spells which help

yukari heals heals and more heals
if the mc has at least one support spell, this party can throw up all 3 support spells in one turn which i find is useful

id probably swap out yukari for ken since ken has all of yukaris healing spells (mediahran samarecarm etc) but not the weakness to elec but i hate ken so >_>

lol I never chose Junpei when I had the choice.
