How much did I spoil for myself?

Hello, being the unpatient fool that I am..I spoiled a bit of the story.
Now my question is, did I already spoil too much too enjoy the story itself.
The spoilers are these: Catherine is a succubus and they have a fight where she dies but then seems to be another nightmare.

Sorry if my english isn't that good.

I'd say you ruined about half of the story for yourself; don't worry about it too much though since there is still more to the story then Catherine being one.

For me, Catherine being a succubus wasn't a surprise at all considering people were speculating it the day the game was revealed. However, that particular nightmare sequence was my favourite scene of the entire game because it was so crazy and unexpected, so I don't imagine it will have as much impact for you. Still, this game in general never really surprised me so there isn't really much to "spoil".

It would have been for me too, if the trailers hadn't ruined it.

Seriously, I loved those trailers leading up to the game's release, but while playing the game I kept waiting for all the stuff from the trailers to happen, slowly realizing the trailers pretty much showed scenes from everything in the game, including Vincent and Catherine together in the Nightmare. Hell, the trailers even showed scenes from the ENDINGS.

Daum, i'm glad that i do not watch trailers that much (i try to avoid getting hyped)

Though i'm actually kinda surprised that i didn't get any spoilers while waiting my copy. I did read threads about the game in another forum but everyone had courtesy of using spoiler tags. I tend to avoid reading any threads that have anything to do with the game's story but you never know.

I admit, I was anticipating Katherine calling Catherine a dirty whore for pretty much the whole game, but that just made it more awesome for me.

To be honest, I guessed from the very beginning Catherine would be a succubus. She was just TOO perfect.
Plus (in my head, I know it's not true) I was treating this as if it was in the shin megami tensei universe.
Minor spoiler for P3P I just remembered, Vincent was a cameo! Meaning they ARE in the same universe! Meaning somewhere in Persona 4 Vincent is still alive!
