Did anyone else think that Toby was Asteroth? Right after I learned that the Boss was the one causing all the nightmares, I started thinking if any of the other characters had some a secret they were hiding. I was mostly suspicious of Toby because 1. He was the only one not having nightmares and 2. Their voices sounded similar (which I know is because they have the same voice actor)

In a way I'm kinda disappointed I was wrong but that probably would have been too much of a crazy twist.

To be honest, I thought Katherine was the witch for a while. It was someone close to me, supposedly, and I thought it would have been a cool plot twist. I did wind up calling who it was, though.

You know, that's a pretty interesting theory. Toby IS the only male bar patron Boss notwithstanding who never experienced the nightmares; maybe he was quizzing everyone instead? I gotta say, the fact that Toby and Astaroth share the same voice actor only adds to the intrigue.

Why would Toby have nightmares? The guy wants to get married and have a family. That's the whole point of the nightmares.

I kind of had a feeling that the guy from the upbeat couple was Astaroth. I don't really have any explanation for it, but it made sense to me.

Never thought that. I thought he was only a character in the Nightmare realm and had no physical incarnation.

I personally never noticed the similarities during game play, however now that you mention it...

These are some very interesting theories.
I thought that the reason Toby wasn't getting nightmares was because of how he was the young inexperienced one, that was always going on about how much he wanted to marry the first woman he fell in love with, as soon as possible, and be as faithful as he could...

He appeared never to have troubles, really.

Although, again, that could be because of who you're suggesting he was.

Never crossed my mind. Boss said that Rapunzel was the device to get people easier into nightmare. Since Toby didn't played it, he didn't got the nightmares. Toby was just a pure virgin. He was a clueless silly character that every game needs. Plus he scored the only girl I wanted to score in this game but the game didn't gave me such opportunity.

i always thought the boss was weird, n suspiscious. he seemed to be so cold and has an unsurprised tone whenever he mentions how someone died. also the way he colded talks about relationships and cheating was unusual.

I was surprised when I found out how he was involved. I thought katherine or catherine was probably the reason for him being there. I didnt get how the twin fat women were involved or know all the secrets, but only seen the cheater ending so far.

I don't think Toby is Asteroth they have the Same VA and if you noticed it's Yuri Lowenthal I don't think they are the same person just the Va sounds the Same But if they make a Catherine2 they need more info on Asteroth

Does anyone know if the Japanese version of the game have same voice actor portraying the Asteroth?
