Only watched the Mitsuru/Naoto vids so far. I want this so bad now =(. C'mon Atlus make a collector's edition and take more of money.
I like how rapid cancels go "1 More".
Loving that music too.

TheMidnightArena has more vids up, including the final boss of arcade mode. To watch or not to watch?
Finally some Aigis matches.

Updated with the Day 1 Alpha Station matches.
What is going on, here? Narukami sucks, Aigis players are garbage and Naoto gimmicks?

Haven't seen all the matches yet, but man the Aigis play was pretty bad.

I see nothing wrong with Narukami's moves. I wouldn't worry about bad Aigis players, they'll deal with that soon enough i'm sure. Watched some Capcom guys play SFXT as Ryu and Ken and did a terrible job. (Everyone has a bad game right?)

Nah just a little disappointed since the first match Aigis didn't get to do much. Well there's an arcade mode run with Aigis so I'm all good. Just need my internet to stop dying on me so I can watch it haha..
Off topic, but I'm real hype for SFxT.

Naoto has a gimmick where she can gold burst into her insta-kill in Point Match rounds. Even though the way around it wasn't discovered until the last Alpha Station match, its still very gimmicky. A 'stfu and gtfo noob' move

How do you get around it? Do you just sit in that sweet spot? Doesn't look like you can touch her.

Crouching in the sweet spot is the only way around it so far. Tbh it's pretty ridiculous how these instant kills have full invincibility until the character goes back into a neutral state. Naoto's IK isn't even blockable, which makes it worse. My hopes is for Arc to release an update after they get enough feedback for P4A. Even though Naoto's IK has been figured out and busted, something like that should've never have been in the game in the first place. It's a cheap and frustrating tactic--especially for beginner players.

Yeah Naoto's is definitely gonna get lots of people the first few times. Though, if all the instant kills are punishable it should be fine. Still, I'd probably prefer it if it was more like Blazblue's Astral finishes. I haven't seen all the IKs yet, but hopefully none of them are too good.

Here's some more footage I found from a post on Shoryuken.com
http://shoryuken.com/2012/03/03/pers...otage-round-2/
The game looks impressive. I'm curious to see if there are going to be any balance changes for the console release.
@Hausuke I do agree that the Instant Kills should act like Astral Finishes.

Ahahaha, I love Chie's insta kill. Yukiko's is kind of lame though... flowers in yo' face!
Still, very fun stuff.

But Naoto has her own instant kill move AND Mudo? Mudo can't be a regular attack from her move list... can it?
Maybe her specials are just overpowerd.

Chie's is probably my favourite.
Well for Naoto she needs to get the fate counter to 0 before being able to instant kill with Mudoon and Hamaon. They're both supers.

Ah, that makes a lot more sense. Still, i'm betting i'll see a lot of Naoto's online when it comes out.
As for the other Instant kills, Akihiko is my favorite.

Yeah Akihiko's is good too. Naoto looks pretty fun, I might main her. Can't really decide based off of videos though. I'm thinking I'll end up using Yu, Mitsuru, or Yukiko. I really want to use Aigis though, but she doesn't look like a good fit for me. I want to play Chie just cause of her flutter kicks .
Want to play it so badly, guess SFxT will hold me till then.

It's also interesting how not all of the characters use their Personas for their instant kill, like Chie and Yukiko(?).

Yukiko used her Persona for her instant kill. Chie did as well, just not for the final blow.

Ah, I noticed them after watching the video again. I guess I missed them the first time with the low quality video.
I also noticed that "Mist" is the instant kill track used in this game, just like how the vocal main themes are used for BlazBlue's Astral Heats. It's not my favorite battle track in Persona 4, but I guess it's appropriate.
