Well, I did love the plentiful voice acting and clarity of artwork. I would buy it if it came out in two or so years.

Having not played the game yet I can't really say "Yes!", but I wouldn't be opposed to the idea in the future.

I would be interested if let us have the Japanese voice acting, or otherwise improve on the Oscar-worthy dub of the original DS: Overclocked.

Personally, I prefer Devil Survivor 3 instead of an Overclocked edition with added route and features but I still support the idea!

I certainly wouldn't mind. I just bought the first overclocked not long ago and I'm sure it will be a while before I play through and am ready for Survivor 2. I kind of wonder why this game isn't coming for the 3DS in the first place though. Who knows though it might sell better this way.

I'm certainly not opposed to the idea, but I hope they wait a bit longer than the wait between DS and DS: O to give us DS2: O
Right now Atlus has placeholder SMT titles for the Vita, PS3 and 3DS, and a Persona placeholder for the 3DS.
The 3DS is still pretty new, and I'd rather they use the next few years to give us some new titles rather than an advanced port of a game not even out here yet.
Also, if they decide to do it, I hope they'll add more to DS2: O than they did for DS: O

What Strain said, I suppose. I am not exactly opposed to the idea of enhanced re-releases, but I would like to see more added to make it worth the re-purchase. And of course, I would probably enjoy original games more. Probably.

I'd rather that they make new games, to be perfectly honest. And that European publishers would bring out these re-releases instead of the original versions...since 3DS is region locked.

I would prefer seeing Atlus work on new games (especially a new SMT for the main series) , or why not a Gungnir port.

Honestly, I'd like to see Persona 5 first. However, the voice acting in DSO was phenomenal; I'd definitely purchase an enhanced version of DS2 (especially if they bring in some Persona VAs such as Liam O' Brien, Troy Baker, Michelle Ruff, etc).

Aside from Kaido, Naoya, Amane, Mari and Izuna, I was not a fan of the voice acting, personally. I mean, I'm on my fifth playthrough, but everything Yuzu or Midori open their mouths I want to punch myself in the face.
As for DeSu2:O, I'd probably get it for the added content, depending on how much there is. I thoroughly enjoyed the graphics revamp for DeSu:O, so that'd be nice as well.

I loved DS2, its really great and everything improved to the right way.
the only thing I don't like is the blue layout. I really liked the red layout, but that is just me. still, when I get my hands on a 3DS, I'm totally buying it if its out by then.

Midori's actress was supposed to be annoying. She's an overbearing weeaboo character.
I personally loved Yuzu's voice; I thought it fit her really well.
Out of curiosity, what graphics were changed/revamped for Overclocked? Weren't the sprites just slightly more detailed because of the 3DS's bigger screen?

As far as I know, the fusion graphics were REALLY detailed, making it more smooth... almost like a graphic animation. As for the images... I'm not exactly sure since I don't have a 3DS... but every sprite and background, surely they were like you said ''revamped''... but as I said, as far as I know, so I'm not exactly sure.
As for a DS: O....... I hope not... I already felt depressed when they announced de DS: O and I didn't have a 3DS XD
But seriously now, I think it would be cool, although, they should add more things than they did to the first one. I mean, the DS: O only get a few more demons and an 8th day (graphics don't count, I'm talking about extra events and such)... so it wasn't much.
But in my preference, I would like an SMT: IV or V if Strange Journey is IV...... seriously, I want something as dark as Nocturne again -_-

If it's just for the voice acting? Than no, I don't need to hear the dialogue being spoken to enjoy a game.
I think Devil Survivor 2 is fine the way it is.

I understand that the character fits the voice; I don't have an issue with that. I have an issue with the fact that it took away from my enjoyment of the game. I skipped most of her dialogue, which isn't that bad to read, because of the voice actress, and because I wasn't willing to simply turn off the voice acting. Just because something's "supposed to be" annoying doesn't lower the level of annoyance.
And Yuzu's VA over-enunciated and dragged out everything.
Again, don't misunderstand -- there were points in the game where I loved the VA. But with the two leading female roles' voices being as they were, it was seldom before the seventh day.
Although, Shoji, Izuna, Amane and Mari more than made up for the other two. I especially loved hearing Izuna once I knew to listen for a little Aigis in her voice. She's an android!

To each their own. Midori's annoyed me as well, but it suited her very well, so I didn't have an active problem with it. I thought Yuzu's suited her very, very well; she sounded just as I would have imagined her to.
I wasn't a huge fan of Amane's voice, though... she sounded too monotone.
As for Izuna, I felt she had a great voice, but she kept shouting her lines, which I disliked.

Personally, I would double dip for this. I don't really care about 3d elements and voice acting, but I do want higher res 2-d artwork and even more content...Overclock really spoiled me in that regard.
Before any of that, I would like to see Etrian Odyssey 4 localized, and a new mainline MegaTen (or a portable version of Nocturne) announced before an 'Overclock' version of DeSu 2.
Atlus likes to get mileage out of its more popular franchises, so I expect to see a DeSu 2 revision at some point...

Of course, why not? But please, I did not play DeSu Overclocked yet, but there should be a option to turn off the voice acting just for the sake of those who do not like it. Pretty please?
I would also like to see a Devil Survivor 3/3D in the future, after they finish SMT IV and the supposed Persona for the 3DS.

I think Devil Survivor 2 was fine the way it was. If it was released again for the 3DS there would be nothing that needed to added. Unlike the first game the 8th day would just be unnecessary, though I would like to see a PS3/Xbox360 version of a devil survivor game. The Devil Survivor games seem to me to be a good blend of the Shin Megami Tensei main series and the Persona series.

The Voice Acting was the main cool overall addition for the first Overclocked. That and the 8th day. I gladly traded my DS copy in towards buying the 3DS copy when it came out.
The other system-specific functions were pretty hardly used or unnecessary. I'll probably get the regular Devil Survivor 2 and stick with that. Though I would hardly mind if they start making the transition to 3DS releases for future Devil Survivors. I would guess the market penetration of 3DS would be high enough to. Not so much for the 3D, unless they do bolster the engine to a more all around polygon Model, but for the larger memory size of 3DS carts. Voice Acting, and whatever they can do with the extra space to expand the game.
Some of the characters are so awesome, that hearing the voice does really hit home. Love it when one goes out and does something so unselfish and almost sacrificial to save somebody else. The scenario itself breeds characters that heroic.

I would buy it, it would be awesome if they added some little cut-scenes, the game certainly doesn't need them but it still would be nice. And I saw the lack of 3D in Overclocked as a wasted opportunity.

I don't think Devil Survivor 2 even needs en enhanced port, and they should make it for the 3D effects because there really is no place for it in the Devil Survivor games. Unless they are going to enhance so it looks like Persona 2 but if they are going to do that they would be better off making a new game for the 3DS that looks like persona 2 or Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne. I would like to see something like that. If they are going to spend the money to remake Devil Survivor 1/2 then they should try that rather then the 3DS 3D gimmick, because seeing the fusion results in 3D was just kind of pointless.

I'd probably buy the dang thing if they did. I was not going to buy DS 1 Overclocked but now that I am playing DS 2 and enjoying it so much I want to go and play the first one again and might as well get the 3DS version. Still I fall in the camp of preferring to see Atlus use all their resources on new games in the SMT line.
Particularly as I almost always play portable games with the sound off so,for me, VA is irrelevant. Not to mention that I would only be interested in having access to the Japanese dub if I was going to listen. I am not against english dubs in general (if they do not suck) but all the SMT games are so utterly Japanese that the idea of playing with english voices seems bizarre and would (for me) lower the level of player immersion into the game world. I'd rather play in silence.
I also think that if a DS 3 pops up there is a decent chance that it will still be DS not 3DS. There are still a tremendous number DS's in active service all over the world. The thing was and is the god king of consoles in Japan and has long been viewed as the lead sku, not the Wii or PS3 (no reason to even mention the 360 really) by quite a few Japanese developers. And since the 3DS takes DS carts as well they are under minimal pressure to switch platforms. I expect we will be seeing major DS releases for at least two more years and maybe longer. Heck, I only bought a 3DS now because I lost my DS quite a while back and wanted to play DS 2 and Pokemon Conquest. There still is not any 3DS games that would have compelled me to buy the handheld. And, as far as I know, there won't be till Fire Emblem comes out in the US. Although, sooner or later Atlus, and probably NIS, will put out some 3DS games I have to have. I'm sure Sting will come up with some insane idea for the system sooner or later.
And yes, my posts are almost always stupid long. I have a lot of free time.
