Hot or Cold.
If you had to suffer one kind of weather over the other, which would you prefer?
Hot or Cold?

Cold.
You can always put on clothes to fight the cold, but you only have a limited amount that you can take off.

This. 100% nailed my exact reasoning. Unfortunately I can't seem to sell the females in my office on this logic as a valid reason to have the AC on in January or February. Sigh.

Hot. I've lived in Alabama my whole life. I honestly wouldn't know what to do in honest-to-god winter weather. The idea that snow is something that stays on the ground for more than an hour or two weirds me out.
tl;dr - I'd die in a real winter.

Cold! For the same reasons already mentioned in it's favour.
Where I live, we don't get snowy Winters, however. Never really experienced intense cold as a result. I've had my fair share of heat waves though!

Cold as it is easier to stay warm than trying to use an AC than runs off electricity to stay cool.

Cold. Running in the cold, you just put on more layers or run inside. Running in the heat is just terrible. Also, cold means comfy quilts.

Cold all day everyday versus the heat. Live in the MN cold (although not bad here this year) and hated the MN summer when it gets all humid and sticky. I can keep my skin lotion up during the cold to keep it moist, but nothing can save me from drenching in sweat during the heat.
Also, more clothes will keep you warm during the cold. When the heat hits, no matter if you are stripped down to your bones, you're still more likely to suffer from the damn heat.

Give me a Japanese summer over a Canadian winter any day!
Bring on tha heat!
but you really have to factor in region. Japan is extremely humid in summer which is not good.

Forgot to mention, I hate socks. So getting to wear sandals 10 months out of the year is a big plus.

I much prefer winter to summer. I'm naturally tolerant of the cold - to the point where it's a sort of running joke among my friends and family - but hot weather makes me sleepy. And as mentioned above, you can always put on a coat if you're cold. Add that to the fact that you don't have to deal with bugs in the winter, and that all means there's no reason for me to like summer at all. I even prefer snow to rain, for some weird reason.

I remember going to my friend's place after we'd gone to the store to buy groceries. I went inside and washed my face from all the sweat, and literally 2 minutes later, I had to get back up and wash my face off again.
That's some straight BS weather right there.

Cold. I hate summers here because the power goes out at least once and it's a terrible thing to deal with, considering we watch two toddlers at our house during the summer. They have fun. Me? I'm usually out of it after the first hour in the summer.

This, and too many times i have been burned by the sun to look foward to heat. And for some reason i'm better at dealing with the cold than those around me. I've been wearing little more than t-shirts and jeans all winter.

I tend to agree with what everyone has said, and so I prefer the cold.
I have spent most of my life in the Northeast and so have been around cold weather, heavy snow, high wind chills and ice storms most of my life.
I spent almost 2 years living in Tucson Arizona a few years ago and out there it is ..well.. HOT.. In the winter I did get a kick out of grilling outside and enjoying Xmas in shorts and flip flops in my backyard while my family got nailed with a few foot deep Nor'easter.. lol.. but after a while.. the sad lack of variety and seasonal change bothered me. And the lack of green...
So yeah. I returned to the Northeast and am loving it a lot more. Cold days don't bother me, it just gives everyone an excuse to snuggle close on the couch, fire up a pot of coffee or hot cocoa/tea and enjoy some quality time together watching the tube or reading or.. whatever happens to happen Cold weather makes comfort food all the more inviting. A nice crock of homemade soup or baked lasagna..fresh baked bread or cakes and pies.. I guess I appreciate doing that stuff in cold weather. Ever try and do a lot of baking when it is already 110 degree out? yeaaaah.....

I hate feeling all gross after sweating a lot, and I get heat rash/rashes from my sweat very easily, so I much prefer the cold. I also agree with everyone else about liking the cold, especially how I can keep warm by putting on more clothing, but there's only so much you can take off when it's hot.
But weather is pretty much consistently warm year round here in Hawai'i, and we never have anything crazy like floods and tsunamis and such. Plus it never gets as hot and humid like summers in Japan and Okinawa, so I guess I can't complain too much.

Cold.
One thing to add, I don't like the strong light during summer.
I don't think I have to repeat the rest

Cold.
I love the cold, I sleep better in the cold, I run better in the cold, I like wearing coats/jackets.
The only good thing about the heat for me is that I get awesome tan lines :3

When it's too hot outside, I prefer cold weather. When it's too cold outside, I prefer hot weather. I live in Georgia, so I don't have much of a choice... the weather here is so sporadic that no matter what I prefer, the weather will do the opposite the next day. Example: last week it was in the 70's. This week it's raining and in the low 40's.
