Far be it from me to diminish the exploit of 100%-clearing Dark Souls on two platforms, but when you've beat it at least once and get the timing down, it's really not that hard. Especially if you can work out a good execution plan and know exactly what you have to do to get all trophies.

The game knows when you're achievement hunting. It gets harder and kills you with strange enemy placements where you least expect it. I felt it grew more difficult the more I played the game.
I absolutely hated beating the game again just to be able to forge the Great Lord Sword. Then afterwards there was no achievement, so I checked the list and noticed I missed a weapon. So much backtracking and getting killed.

Fun game, but dear god were the bosses annoying as hell. Especially that final one. I'm just lucky I've mastered the art of the Double Jump - Cyclone combo to avoid the ground attacks from the final boss, otherwise it could have gotten REALLY annoying after the first 5 tries. Tomorrow after all the remaining E3 conferences are done, I'll start a file with Hugo as my character.

Sonic Colors (Wii.)
Last boss was easy, but fun. Great game overall, probably the best Sonic game, honestly. Well, I can't help but feel that Sonic Generations was better by virtue of having less awkward controls (shoulder button quick step ftw,) but I've gotta give Colors major props for its originality.
Also, I love how Sega has given up on trying to make Sonic a badass. After a decade of 'tude followed by a decade of ... the sort of thing that led to Shadow the Hedgehog, it's awfully refreshing. Eggman is a clown, and Sonic seems more preoccupied with coming up with good one liners than actually caring about saving the world. I actually honest-to-god lol'd at a couple of the cutscenes in Sonic Colors. The "no copyright law in the universe can stop me!" bit really got me.

This series has been and will always remain one of my top series of all time for years and years (just look at my username). However, JFA is honestly just too strange for me to consider replaying as much as the other games. it's like it runs on its own logic; all the first three cases really do is prepare you for the "shocker" the last case is. Story doesn't even matter, it feels like. I've always hated the logic in Case 3 in particular, as well as the setting and characters. It's never pleasant to revisit. Must be why it took me about a year of off-again, on-again playing to beat it for another time. Honestly, all playing this one again did was make me want to take a break from visual novels altogether.
It's still got the charm but...the last case is the only really "good" one and the first one is "alright". The second case is passable, despite its importance, and the third one is without a doubt the worst of the entire series, and that includes the first Edgeworth game (with the second one not being localized, I obviously cannot judge that one).
Sigh...

I finally picked up Trails in the Sky after about a year and decided to beat it. It was a much needed break from all the text reading, but a little too long. Thankfully, I had some gist of what was going on when I stopped playing.

Worth it? I'm I guess five or six hours in, and I've kinda lost interest. I'm still just doing quests for the Bracer's guild. I was hoping the plot would have picked up (or, y'know, existed) by now. I'm liking the characters at least, but not enough to keep playing in the absence of plot.
Also, the battles are slow as ####. It's so frustrating to run into a low level enemy and have to spend several minutes fighting them because, well, that's just how it is.

It does get better towards the end. Things pick up by the time you finish Chapter Two. Chapter Three is better and, of course, the final chapter is probably the best. My only nitpick is that I finished it, I want to know what happens next, and Xseed hasn't said much about the Second Chapter lately.
You should run into more fun characters. That's what kept me going when I decided to pick it back up again.

Pokemon Blue Version (GB)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2)
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier (DS)

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3)
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (PS3)
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice For All (DS)
Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles (DS)
Notable Demos I've beaten:
Metroid Prime: Hunters - First Hunt (DS)
Altair's Chronicles is pretty much what I expected from a Gameloft game circa 2007. It's got "made for mobile phones" written all over it, and if I hadn't held the DS in my hand as I played the game, I never would have guessed it was made for that system. While I'm sure some of the staff at Gameloft (and perhaps at Ubisoft too) put their heart and soul into making this game great, it still seems rather sloppily put together, rushed out the door, and little more than a cash-in to follow the original AC's success. Personally, I think it's about on par with the original Assassin's Creed in terms of quality.
Now the demos thing, that's not supposed to count toward my goal in any way. It's just for me, really, and is just meant to tally when I decide to see what's in some bonus disc or edition of Playstation Underground or something like that. Or in this case, the demo for Metroid Prime: Hunters.
It's a real interesting demo, uh, I managed to place first in all the modes and am curious about the actual game itself, because it seems like the only notable thing to come from NST for years now. When I first got a DS, it was cool as a diversion, but I bet most people would forget about it once they got the real game. I dunno, it serves its purpose.

Binary Domain: This is one of very few games where I feel like the localization was a significant weak point in the game. Trying to have those actors play Asians with stilted English just did not work. The actors spent too much concentration trying to hold their inflections and couldn't actually ACT. Not a bad game, but it could have been better.

Beat both sides of this, so it's time to add it. Ys I was a very short game, and felt like it was missing alot of things while having alot of problems with combat. Ys II was the bread and butter here, with an impressive story, an affection meter for each NPC in the game, tougher fights, useful magic, and was overall longer than the previous one, along with having a level cap of what seemed to be the norm of 60 instead of 10. Overall I have to say I had fun with this, and my next foray into Ys will most likely be Ys: The Oath in Felghana (whenever I get it).

The third generation of Pokemon overall, I just get this weak feeling with it. I feel like Nintendo cops out by "resetting" after every generation and starting fresh. The awesome thing about generation 2 WAS the connection to the original games and the idea that there were 251 Pokemon to catch and they could be anywhere. I just wish they could go back to that.
Furthermore, I wasn't impressed or intrigued by a lot of the new Pokemon either. My final party consisted of Swampert, Gardevoir, Camerupt, Altaria, Ninjask, and Shedinja, and I didn't feel that much different using any of them than I would using Rhydon or something. Shedinja was a nice novelty with its Wonder Guard power and 1 HP, but that's all it was. A novelty. This generation relied on a lot of novelty Pokemon in comparison to the past two, where it was largely just Ditto and Wobbuffet. Now there's Castform, Kecleon, Shedinja, Feebas/Milotic, and so on. And I imagine the two newer generations just added on to that.
Originally, this generation was where I broke off with the series, but playing HeartGold made me curious about what the modern games are like. I'll be getting Black/White 2 when it comes out, so I hope things have gotten better and more interesting again. The series needs it.

I actually ran into a bug where I couldn't finish new game plus (robbing me of my first plat ). You can actually play through the main storyline in about 7 - 9 hours pretty easily on a ng+ run. Just to clarify these sentences are in reference to Dragon's Dogma.
Lollipop Chainsaw's combat starts out feeling rough and disjointed but becomes much better as you unlock combos. It is very satisfying by mid game, which is around 2 hours in.
Yes, that does mean the story portion is between 4 - 5 hours long. But there are a bunch of different modes and difficulties with varied zombie placement and goals if that is your thing.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier: This one wasn't bad, but I was playing on the hardest difficulty, and it was REALLY easy. It was still fun enough, but I didn't really feel challenged. Also, the vast majority of the cutscenes in the game are random tangents. I'm honestly not even sure they were supposed to be taking place in the same timeline.

Finally beat the last Harry Potter rpg, definitely the hardest of the three. Had to grind about 20 levels for the last boss. During the credits I was suprised to find out the the developers were the same ones who made the Lord of the Rings GBA games--lot of fun times had thanks to these guys.
