KOF XIII: Complete Edition anyone?
Well, since Mortal Kombat is getting a "Komplete Edition" with all the DLC packaged on the disc, I thought it would be nice of SNK to do the same with KOF XIII, but with additional features that weren't released as DLC for the game or couldn't be added to it.
What would you guys see if KOF XIII had a gold/complete edition? I'd figure I would ask about this because none of you guys want an updated version of the game. (Which is obvious)

Here are some of the features I would see in it:
- All of the DLC packaged into the disc.
- Spectator Mode for Network play.
- Improved netcode (No more Gamesync please, that netcode is better used for PS2 games).
- Lobbies for network play.
- Japanese and English voice overs, along with voice overs in cutscenes and story mode so we won't hear silence while we try to understand what characters say (I can't even understand what Saiki says myself, and I did suggest some good voice actors for the game a while back. Subtitles are useless as well).
- Adelheid as a playable character.
Comment on what you guys think, and about my idea for the Japanese and English voice option; I'd figure it would be better for people to pick what voice acting they will use to suit their interest rather than complaining about one voice language. I wouldn't mind English voice overs myself, but I just want to understand what Saiki says, plus Hwa's Japanese voice hurts my ears a lot, so I hope that an English voice actor will make it so his voice doesn't hurt my ears.
My point is, people should stop complaining about a dub and get used to it. In my opinion, it's getting old and people should respect one's opinion on why they like dubs better than subtitles. And I know that the Arcade version of KOF XIII had an unused English dub, but an old rumor that affinity brought up stated that Atlus wanted to redo the dub with better voice talent, so if SNK can't afford it, maybe they can get Atlus' help on it.
This is also for Sony's usual policy, as it stated that a foreign game must have voice options in Japanese and English to be released on disc; something that Arcana Heart 3 and Battle Fantasia fail to pass, as they were released as downloadable games on PSN rather than retail, so I don't know how KOF XIII was able to bypass that...
What other additional game features do you guys like to see?

Is there a chance that Atlus will release a discounted DLC pack that includes all of the KOF 13 DLC at a reduced price? $5 per character is a steep price.

Nah price is very good, come on it's only 5$, instead of eating from McDonald's pay it to support Atlus and SNKP for once. (after they fix netcode, of course.)
Also Kyo is 3$, game is 49$, so like only +3 dollars from regular games!

Agreed! As long as the voice acting matches that of their Japanese counterparts!

lol. cutscenes should have had voice acting since the start it seems so retarded, totally ruined them.. And I would be glad if the endings weren't just 1-3 pictures (and again not even voice acting!)... This isn't 1990 anymore?
I even prefer it to have English subtitles and Japanese voice in case they have budget troubles.

Yep, the silence kills the fun of cutscenes for KOF XIII. Voice acting would've been nice. SNK still thinks that it's 1994, and all modern fighting games have voice acting in cutscenes; like Tekken and Street Fighter. It'd be nice if KOF were to join that bandwagon.
And more than likely, budget troubles had to do with why KOF XIII didn't have an English dub.

If they were to ever add 4 - 6 more characters and include all the DLC & Netcode patch, it would be a Day 1 buy for me. That's not going to happen though so oh well.....

English voice overs doesn't sound so bad but i got to admit when i heard it in kof XII, it was too odd to hear Yagami go "stupid" every evade roll. I got nothing against it but they would surely twist me over. As for the whole complete edition i really hope they do ,but with few more characters. Like Blazblue CS did in creating Blazblue CS EXT only adding a few more game modes and one character for $39.99 is a rather low hit and cheap of them. But if SNK is to add say Adel, Mary, and ..... dunno Rugal lol then there would be more satisfaction to it or at least i sure as hell would buy it for the "GENOCIDE CUTTAHHH" lol

@djsiegfried: That I can understand.
@Yagami: Dude, shut up and chill out. It's just voice acting, get used to an English dub please.

Well, with such level of "engrish" I can see why he doesnt want eng. dub LOL
In all seriousness now, I dont really care about eng. dub, if it was there, I would just stick to original voices since I got used to them from over 10 years of KOF, it would sound weird IMO, even if it would be really good, would still sound weird, specially to long date fans.
But I guess its just an "extra", its not really necessary and it would make the game more or less enjoyable I guess Lol.

By comparison to Climax, the console version is pretty complete on its own. Your ideas sound like something I'd get into too. The voice-over thing is what I care the least about. The only thing concerning voice-overs I'd ask to change is putting the Japanese voices in the story mode cutscenes, unless that would've included characters that spoke Engrish only (Terry, Raiden, etc).
Not a bad idea overall. Unlikely, but not bad.

Capcom gets away with new editions of fighting games besides sequels, so a new KOF edition could be great. A new KOFXIII that adds all the DLC characters and stages, improves netcode (they should get Arc System Works to help them), adds online stage select (like you can in practice) and maybe 1 or more brand new playable characters added, would make a great deal.

Please god, no dubs. Ever. There are simply no good western voice actors for this kind of stuff. If you ask me, a couple more characters would be nice, especially because making a whole new game demands tons of $$$. They should consider re-releasing the current DLCs as a package for less $$$ after the add-on is released.

I would like to see a new version of KOF XIII with a BETTER netcode, spec. mode, more features for the online, and the stages from KOF XII, new chars (and finally Adelheid), and more features. I would buy for sure.

There are some good voice actors to do a job for such a game like this. SFIV and BlazBlue have some of the best voice acting you'll ever hear in a fighting game, so does Skullgirls.
Truth be told, in 2D fighting games, I'd rather have dual audio than just Japanese voices; but in 3D fighters, I could care less about the voices.

well, it's not the end of the world if it does get dubbed, just as long as japanese is still available. I watched a short clip of persona 4 on utube, and the acting is great. but to hear deep western voices on japanese characters just gives me goosebumps. but to each his own.

Yes. Games with dual audio will still have the Japanese voice option available aside from the English voice option. So you really don't have to worry on that part as long as you can enjoy the game in Japanese.
