I still wish it was an anime. I mean P3 seemed to have so much more story than P4, so who knows what exactly the movie will entail...

I think it would be quite complicated an anime of P3... unless they would do something like the manga...

Maybe if we're lucky, there will several P3 films or OVAs, and they'll invest more money into the animation and the characters will actually participate in the fights instead of standing around like the P4 characters.

I hope they just stick to a movie about the game and not the sequel. God knows I don't need to listen to Yukari again in the Answer.

...But they probably will end up doing just that.

I don't want to see anything from the Answer, the information is so damn slim. Actually non-existent if you played or heard of P4 ( that shadows are suppressed thoughts ect)
It neither made sense nor was it interesting.

Since Persona 4 Arena uses a canon name for Yu Narukami, when this film does the same for the Persona 3 main character, then there might be a bigger chance that he appears in the game as well!

Maybe they're testing the waters. If the film is successful, then they might greenlight a full television anime production.

I use the name Minato Arisato when I replayed P3. Hell, I might even play it again with the name they've given if they do come up with their own canon name.

A movie adaptation? I don't even want to imagine how in the world are they going to fit in everything without taking a lot of important parts out.

P4 anime ignored the manga name in favor of a new one, though.

and argue with the Atlus staff if they ever try and offer a glimpse of the reality of it all. I'm always amused at how tight fisted some of the fans get about the idea of canon and setting up the rules of what is and isn't as if one is not legitimately allowed to imagine otherwise...

It's actually kinda annoying. Since I joined the "Atlus Faithful", almost every P3 topic I've seen has someone bringing up the word "canon".

I doubt we'll get any real info on this until 2013 or late 2012. Until then, let's just hope they don't screw it up too badly.

I don't remember reading that it was gonna be ultimately a movie, you know. I only read that an animated Persona 3 was on its way, not anime nor movie.
I may be wrong, but I really don't know.

The reason they animated Persona 4 was to create some publicity for their new games Arena and Golden. Its all a business move. I guess because P4 was animated, a lot of fans wanted P3 to be animated to so they decided to do the same. Maybe.

Why does anyone actually care about what's canon and what isn't'? It's a work of fiction, and the beauty of P3 is that it gave you free reign to tweak whatever you wanted regarding the MC's relationships with others and his personality. Even more so with FeMC. That's what makes it fun.

Not sure what to make of this. I would rather have an anime instead of a film considering how long the game is.
