Is it worth to play this Growlanser games? Are they good? If it is... how much good is it?
I'm always trying to find new games to play. I read that this Growlanser have 40 endings... is it true?
I hope the game is good when I play it... cuz... somehow... I dunno why... the character design, kinda depresses me... don't ask, I dunno why -_-........ please don't hate me ._.

The game is awesome, contrary to lets say agarest War the Growlanser series doesnt have too much focus on fan service so dont think that just because the characters looks fan serviish the game isnt serious because it is.
The gameplay is different from most srpgs so there is a chance that you will like it or hate it. I fully finished the ps2 version and the game has plenty of endings so mostly the endings are varied because some characters die and since you can save them then the endings can have that much variations given how many characters you save.
Lets wait to see if ATLUS releases a demo sometime.

Nah. I like SRPS's, I played Devil Survivor, FF Tactics, etc., even if it's different from that genere, I will get used to it, I get used to things kind of fast... an example would be the localized name of P4U
Anyway, when it comes out, I'll try it to see if it is good. Thanks for the reply ^^

One thing I love about Growlanser series is that unlike 99% of RPGs, your goal in battle isn't simply to kill all the enemies. There's so many different scenarios that play out; for example, sometimes there are civilians that will be killed unless your party can save them, sometimes enemies will try to escape, or you face a force that is too powerful and your only goal is to survive until you can retreat, etc. There's always a sense of urgency in the major battles that keeps things interesting.
Even if the characters were stick figures I'd still be excited for more Growlanser games, because they're just plain fun.

Yeah, the character design doesn't usually makes me depress or dislike it... the first time I saw Soejima's artworks (character designer of the Persona games) at first, I didn't liked it, but now, I wish I could draw like that XD. But this character design of this game (only this one for now)... kind of depresses me for some reason (it's not the retro design)... maybe is the colors... ah hell, I seriously don't know. I'll try it anyway.

Yeah, I always try to find new games to play. For example, I gave Persona and the SMT titles a chance... and look at my avatar now .
I know I played some games before that at the beginning I didn't like at first sight and then when I played it, I loved it, so who knows... Growlanser may be one of those few games ^^.
PS: I tried to see some pics of the game in Google Images...... can anyone explain me the ecchi images... please...

The ones with the black censorhip tile are part of the extras that get unlocked when you finish the game. The game isnt ecchi at all.

I would like to add my thanks to Atlus! You have made one girl very, very happy if I may say! I adore the artwork and gamestyle in Growlanser and was hoping the first PSP Growlanser would be localized but I'm happy with anything!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart Atlus! I hope you keep up with the Growlanser localizations!

Will probably pick up Code of Princess but not Sherlock Holmes.
...So Atlus, can we expect a bundled Growlanser I and IV announcement? Eh? EH?!
ps. I highly doubt they'll skip EP, if anything it will be a digital only.

I don't mean to be short-tempered here (and I'm only saying this here because you're far from the first person I've seen ask for this) but Growlanser games have unusually high volumes of text, even for our production staff used to dealing with Persona games. It's not a coincidence that Working Designs being forced to bundle II and III together was followed shortly by their going out of business. A I and IV bundle is not a reasonable thing to request.

I'd like to point out that Growlanser 2&3 are also the shortest games in the series, so I'm assuming they have less text than 1&4 do (though I could be wrong).

I wasn't really being serious. ^^; Although yes, I admit, I would love to see Growlanser I localized, I'm happy with Atlus localizing IV as is. I'm hoping though with enough sales it may, stressing may, warrant the localization of Growlanser I but I'm not holding my breath.
None the less, I am already showing my support for if and when you do localize the first one, even without the VA's and if it is only a digital download as well.

If this game sells, it's not an impossibility, just unrealistic. I really hope it does.
So uh, when's the site go live? That'll be my catalyst to start hyping.

Just the first dic of Growlanser 1 (PS1) surpasses Grow 2 text easily, and Grow 4 and 1 surpasses 3 witouth much effort. So espect to read a LOT in WoT.

I'm no Growlanser expert with alot of knowledge and I really don't know anything about this series until it was announced by Atlus, so please don't burn me.
I feel kind of dirty for saying this but this artwork looks really similar to some hentai I seen like two years ago and I seen some dirty artwork illustrations too that look like some of these characters in this game. Am I crazy or just insane bringing this up cause some of the stuff I have personally seen don't look like silly parodies.
Anyways, I'm still buying this game. Looks awesome!

Dont worry, im worse i have a full carpet of his best works in my PC.
I wish he made more artwork for another games at least in eroge where i think he could flourish more at least he works in Growlanser so i hope for another entry to see more of his work.
For some reason he didnt made some dirty artwork from Growlanser 5 even tough he has already made for 6.
Is good to know another Growlanser fan, welcome.
If you want to know more google Growlanser Wayfarer of Time Neoseeker wiki its the best source of information about the game.
Search for the game in youtube and you can see a typical mission battle of the game that i uploaded (The JP version tough).

Wow phew, I feel much better after you're clarification lol. Felt a little naughty posting my thoughts after seeing this game. Anyways, the art in this game looks very astounding and eye-catching. Even the characters sparkle!
This game certainly looks like it's right up my alley and im thankful you guys over at Atlus are still breathing life into my psp.

Do you name the protagonist in Growlanser or does he have a default name?
