Funny how you're advertising the game better than Atlus is.
Come on guys. Release gameplay videos. Series history. SOMETHING.
Show people WHY we love Growlanser.
I don't expect the game to sell a million copies anymore than you do, but 20k is sure better than 2.

Calm down CJ, I'm sure we'll see a more in-depth trailer similar to what we've seen for Gungnir the closer we get to release date. There's no need to grovel or beg, just be happy that the game you and many of your fellow Growlanser fans is finally being released soon.

Im not sure how to take that
Either way ATLUS more likely is just releasing this for the fans and so i guess they dont spect the game to reach newcomers.
@ShadowRaskolnik
I higly doubt it, there are only 10 days left, and seeing how they skipped the gugnir and Growlanser banner for the forum i highly doubt it, would love to be proven wrong here.

Those are just banners though, there have been several times when Atlus would skip making a banner for certain games. While we may not see a huge marketing move any time soon since the game is already close to release I'm pretty sure we'll at least see a trailer that showcases gameplay like we saw with the Gungnir trailer Atlus released once that game was out.

I am happy, but I also want the game to SUCCEED, and that's not going to happen if no one knows why they should play it.
Look at what happened to Sakura Wars.

Honestly, CJ is right. Atlus seems to be hoping people will spend their money with P4A, and leave a niche PSP game with the niche crowd.

I wouldn't say that's what Atlus is "hoping" for, I think it's more like they realize that with Persona 4 Arena being available on two systems that still have pretty active bases it's better to place the majority of their attention on that. I mean not only is P4A being hyped as a continuation of Persona 3 and 4, it's also being touted as the next prospect for the competitive fighting game scene.
In comparison Growlanser, and even Gungnir, are two SRPGs being released for the PSP at the very twilight of it's life cycle. I'm sure we'll see a more in-depth trailer with gameplay and a release email with quotes from reviews, but outside of that I'm pretty sure Atlus knows the majority of sales will come from the niche crowd who probably already invested plenty of time in looking into these games.

Growlanser IV is widely regarded as one of the best SRPGs ever made. Letting it release without barely a ripple would be borderline criminal. It deserves at least some hype.
And I agree, Arena deserves the majority of their attention; but not all of it. The dang Sherlock Holmes game has gotten more press from them.

Really? I don't remember seeing much of the Sherlock Holmes game outside of the initial announcement. Meanwhile Growlanser got at least three Atlus Faithful emails, a teaser trailer (with a regular trailer probably coming as well once it's closer to release), a few screenshots of the game with english text, and even it's own entry on the official Playstation Blog. While I wouldn't say there has been alot of advertisement for this game it does seem like Atlus has at least done something to keep the game within notice.

I wasn't aware of the blog post, but I noticed they were advertising the Sherlock game via twitter.

I hope that when we ask for the first Growlanser localization they dont use the "WoT didnt sold well" excuse because then i would be really mad.

I think it's safe to say Growlanser isn't happening, shy of a PSN only miracle. If they're done with the series, this is a fine sendoff.

They haven't ignored it completely but it could have paid off to do just a wee bit more. The "teaser trailer" doesn't show the gameplay or even give you a good idea what the story is about, so it's unlikely to resonate with many people who aren't already Growlanser fans. I'm not asking for a separate video for each playable character. But it would make more sense to release a tutorial / trailer showing gameplay before the game is released to help convince people to pre-order. Pre-orders are crucial to a game's success because they determine how many copies retailers order. Atlus won't benefit if people are paying $80 for a used copy in a few months.
There's definitely such a thing as overexposure, but I don't think WoT is anywhere near that threshold. Now, P4A on the other hand... As someone who follows Atlus on Twitter, Facebook, email, and youtube, I'm sick to death of P4A. I went from being indifferent (I don't like fighting games and haven't played a Persona game) to seriously considering unsubscribing from the email list because I'm tired of deleting P4A emails.
I'm not saying Atlus shouldn't promote their golden goose at all, but it's getting to be overkill. I think by now everyone who ever visits this site or follows Atlus elsewhere knows about P4A and has decided whether or not they'll buy it; especially considering that SMT / Persona is likely what initially brings many here. People who visit this forum or follow Atlus on social media sites are far less likely to know about Growlanser, Gungnir, or Code of Princess. So I hope that once Gungnir is available on the Vita store that Atlus sends an email because that's important news. Ditto for WoT.
Edit: OK, just sawthe PS blog post... I assumed you were referring to the one when the game was first announced and I thought the "teaser trailer" was referring to the OP. It's pretty cool, so I'm kinda eating my words right now...

Better excuses include the first Growlanser remake had poor graphics and the game will not be voiced in the North American version. Aside from that, it is also an aged title and the PSP is now a dead platform in the West. Would ATLUS USA make such a risk of failing sales to localize such a game just to appease a few Growsians? Doubt it..

What i mean is when WoT didnt got localized the general consensus was that because HoW didnt sold well and i dont want that excuse with the first game, any excuse like the ones you mention are valid but the "WoT didnt sold well" excuse doesnt take place considering the minimal hype the game get.

Another possiblity is that Atlus may have actually wanted to localize Growlanser I (PSP) back in 2009 but SCEA denied them because of the PSOne graphics coupled with it being such a "niche" title.. This is totally speculation on my part, but I wouldn't be surprised. However, SCEA recently approved Hakuouki (visual novel) so it seems unlikely they'd deny any PSP game at this point.
If WoT brings Atlus a signficant profit (in spite of their limited promotion), I don't see why they wouldn't want to bring Grow 1 here. (Even if it had to be PSN-only, I think most of us would gladly take that over no English release).
