SMTII or III if you take Strange Journey since Nocturne and Strange Journey are the only main games you localized, you know, like Square of America did with FFIV being named FFII and FFVI as FFIII.

I'd rather they didn't pull a Final Fantasy and mix numbers up.

Yeah, I don't like it either but I was asking out of curiosity, I mean, they did the same with Fire Emblem (7 being 1 in the US if I'm correct)... a whatever, I like that they sticked with the name.

Being a Faithful, I got an email saying "The choices you make will no longer bear only on you"... I thought I was pregnant.
Was that the intended result?

You know.. I know Atlus wants to grow their fanbase, but sending an email to make everyone think they're pregnant is not the best way to do that.. lol...

Shin Megami Tensei IV also doesn't have a subtitle like Nocturne did. And what would we call it instead of Shin Megami Tensei IV?

Shin Megami Tensei
A NEW GENERATION
Jokes aside, I think Japan has been advertising SMTIV as a SMT game for the new generation.

here's a dumb question I am pretty sure won't get answered but I am going to ask it anyhow...
With you guys losing Manly Biceps (and long ago losing both Aram and Rednusander) are you shifting staff to cover their roles on the forums or are you just shifting your focus from the forums (and it's moderation/coverage by Atlus USA staff) to sheer game localization and to hell with the forums?

Let's just say that our PR department favors Twitter and Facebook over the forums as a means for disseminating information to the Faithful.

Makes sense. They cover a much much larger audience that way. The forums really aren't so crowded.

Me neither. It saddens me he's gone but I figure after the others, it's only a matter of time.
My guess for what GGPO means is.....
Gamer Guys Play Objectivly
Great Gravy Perfects Omlets
Good Games Please Often
Great Granny Played Othello
Girl Gamers Play Often
I suspect we'll never know.

Google just directed me to a website that told me that GGPO = Good Game, Peace Out.
Seems legit enough for the context in which he used it.

When I went to bed last night that actually clicked in my head. So yeah I am going to assume that was the meaning. Kind of sad he left so quick and with no chance for us to keep that thread going to say our well wishes and bump it so others could notice many days later.. But I guess thats how manly rolls.. lol.
Thanks to Fuyu for the many guesses.. hehe I had fun trying to think of what it meant.
I guess they're going to shift focus less and less on this archaic message board and the folks who populate it and just jump on the new fangled technology of Facebook and Twitter for their focus. On the one hand, it means more details and feedback from Atlus USA, on the downside, it means general "Atlus USA" posts and no posts by the admins we know and love. I rather miss that small detail... I prefer folk with anonymous avatars and fake names to faceless mega corp entities...

GGPO is also the name of what is considered the "holy grail" of fighting game netcodes, for what it is worth. It is something one says after a good match has been had. That's how Manly came to hear the phrase, undoubtedly. Ironically enough, he doesn't even play fighting games seriously. RIP Manly.

When Ghostlight wanted to release the DDS games on PSN, it turned out that the games have a conflict with the emulator, suffering from technical issues as a result. Not to mention that the PSN version of Persona 3: FES has its own set of problems.
It seems as though the games that use the Nocturne engine are plagued with emulation issues. Ghostlight said that this might be fixed in a future emulator update, but who knows when that will happen.

Oh, ok. I hope they fix it soon. Either that or remake them in HD graphics. *hint*
What about Raidou games though? They didn't use the Nocturne engine. Or did they have a modified version of it that doesn't work either?

They already explained that by doing re-prints of both Raidou games, I think it was the same "The emulator is not updated" or something like that.

So that's why the only SMT on PSN is Persona 3 FES. I'm guessing they're not releasing Persona 4 cause it might detract from Golden sales?

I don't think so, I think it's pointless to put P4 when there's P4G already, I would prefer to play P4 than P4G, though.

Two Questions.
1. Are there still Art Books for Dragon's Crown available for preorder?
2. Do you recommend the PS Vita version or the PS3 version? I cannot buy both.

1. Well, the game's not out yet, so yes. I do recommend preordering though, since this isn't a pack-in bonus like most of the Atlus Spoils.
2. They're functionally the same. Which one you get depends on lots of outside factors only you can answer, like your desire for portability, which version your friends are getting for online play, the relative comfort of the Dual Shock 3 vs. Vita controls, and so forth.
