I want to know WHY mAYA IS A SILENT PROTAGONIST IF SHE HAS A PERSONALITY IN Persona 2 IS (dAMM CAps BuTTon).
|
It's probably because Atlus likes to make the Persona games have silent protagonists. Silent protagonists portray badassness and they have an attitude that shows that they know that they can kick way more ass than the other characters and it just makes them seem cool and powerful. I don't know how well that would work with Maya though, 'cause in IS she talks a LOT. She's always talking and making jokes and drooling over Tatsuya. She's actually a pretty funny character. I don't know what Tatsuya is like in EP, but it would definitely feel weird for me to see Maya being silent throughout the whole game. And also, in IS, what's with Tatsuya's imitation option when you contact demons. I mean, how the hell does he do that!?! It sounds just like an actual motorcycle, jet plane, or construction equipment!
By the way, that was a joke, so you don't need to answer all literally and tell me that "They recorded the sounds at a studio and put them in the game."

Old games have much more originality back then than Now.

I'm gonna guess sarcasm. While I will agree the gaming market nowadays is over-saturated with generic shooters and overall western-developed action games(some of which are great, mind you), due in no small part to the lack of innovation from Japanese developers over the past few years, I still think there are some new, unique experiences to be enjoyed in this generation of gaming. A great example would be Atlus own Catherine, which I doubt anyone who has ever played it, would deny how bizarre and thought provoking it can be.

i'm so happy they announced a remake of Eternal Punishment. I really have my hopes up that they'll localize it.
I'm one of those people that didn't have many games for ps1, so getting the PSP remakes of persona has been wonderful for me. And after playing Innocent Sin with it's shiny revamped details, I really wasn't looking forward to paying a lot of money for a used sequel without the updates.

I really, really hope this comes over. I don't want to pay $100+ just to finish the rotten storyline, especially when Atlus wouldn't get a cent of it.

I would buy this in a heartbeat if it gets localized, never got to play Eternal Punishment when it was released for Playstation 1.

I want this game so much... And given Atlus's track record when it comes to bringing over SMT games, I'm perfectly willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. If I'd hazard a guess, I'd say Q1-Q2 2013.

I would be surprised if it doesn't get announced eventually. I'd imagine, though, that with all the current focus on P4A, P4G, Growlanser, Gungnir, Zeno Clash, and Code of Princess, it's probably a pretty busy time for Atlus USA. Besides, I remember seeing one of the admins posting about crunch time (I think it was in the Off-Topic forum).

It would be ironic if P2EP doesn't get localized since the EP's PS1 version was localized and P2IS wasn't.

That would be a pity but I guess ATLUS USA can do whatever they like whenever they like. Honestly, I look forward to the localization! I want the game in English.. The original PSone game is too rare to find..

Dragon Crown too, even if the game isn't out anywhere, AtlusUSA might already be translating the script.
