Atlus attempting to retain voice actors

Apparently they're trying their damnedest to retain the original English voice actors for Arena. I hope they manage to.

I'd be incredibly sad if they couldn't get back everyone. I enjoyed all the dub actors very much.

You know.. it would be perfect if they could pull it off. It's going to be a logistical nightmare working between everyone's schedules and stuff but... I'd be more than willing ot wait an extra month or three if it meant they could have it spot on correct instead of having to find a suitable replacement for a character just to get it out NOW.

Especially Kanji. Anyone else throws down his character I'll just shoot myself. lol

This makes me less sure that whoever licensed Persona 4 anime will be able to retain the original voice actors as well.

At any rate, yay for Atlus doing this.

They should retain the original voices... I mean, we all remember how Yosuke's voice sounds like and we are used to it, the same goes for Kanji and Yu (even though he doesn't speak) and a change in the voices would be pretty sad if you think about it.

Atlus... I really hope you can do it.

Hope they can do it. I know at least Troy Baker is a busy man these days, doing voice work for both Bioshock Infinite and The Last of Us. He's the new Nolan North.

I hope they can if they do so I'll buy it even if I'm not a big on fighting games but I did like their English voice cast for Persona 4

I completely agree with that!
The english voice acting of the characters of both P3&P4 are really into it.
Kanji and Teddie's voices are really the best.

Hmm, I ever really cared for the voice acting, but I'm really picky about stuff like that. I'd much prefer them to keep it consistent, though, so here's rooting for keeping the originals!

Well, if they're unable to get the same voice actors for P4A, I wonder what they're planning to do for The Golden (if they bring it over T-T). I guess their only options would be to either have characters entirely re-voiced by new actors, or get new actors just to fill in the new parts.. which would sound.. odd...

It's not ATLUS doing the anime series, though; I believe Sentai Filmworks are the ones bringing it over.

Yea, Sentai is Texas based so getting some of the L.A VAs back might be hard. Although, I've heard Baker and Bailey started in Texas (with Funi) so maybe they'll get them back. Personally, I only need 3 chara VAs back for P4 The Anime, namely Rise, Kanji, and Yosuke. However, they could just outsource the dub to Bang Zoom just like what they're doing with F/SN:UTW.

Wuhoh! Internets is going to be disappoint if different VA dub happens (and so will I )

I'm not surprised they won't be able to retain the same actors for everything though, I mean three Persona 4 projects sorta popped out of the blue (P4 Arena, P4 Anime, P4 Golden). Just have to hope that Atlus can at least get them for P4 Arena and P4 Golden

I have to agree.

Although in my heart of hearts I'd love it if the same VA's were in all three. However, if only 2 of the 3 could get the same VA's the games are definitely the priority. Why would I even bother watching the anime when I can live it through the game? =P

True. I don't care much with the anime VA's, but when it comes to Arena and Golden... you have to do it... besides, like I said before (I think it was here...): These characters have unique voices. I wouldn't imagine any other voice with Yu, Yosuke, Kanji, Akihiko, Mitsuru (Elizabeth, same VA) and Aigis. A change in the voices would break my heart, since Johnny Yong Bosch and Yuri Lowenthal are my favorite voice actors. But... we have to see this in Atlus' perspective. I kinda realize how hard is to get the same voice actors for a remake or a sequel, even though the got them twice for P3FES and P3P (it's very logical to bring the same voices for Digital Devil Saga... I guess) but there is always a first time.

Long story short: Atlus, I trust that you can bring the original cast back again.

I hope since this is a PS3 Game there is enough room for them to include the JP voices optionally for a change. For fighting games especially I usually can't stand english voices, even if Persona 4 had a pretty damn good dub.
