What is your favorite Animal?
we all love all kinds of animals and some people say that the animal we most like resembles our personality..... But i dont want to make this thread a philosophy one so only sya what is your favorite animal and why.
Mine is the:
Why? Come on this beast have lived since the Dinosaur era and hasnt dramatically evolved in all those millions of Years.
Another Reason could be im Fan of Jaws movies and it bring back memories of my childhood, anyway now your turn.

Lone wolfs are cool too. I prefer 1000 times a dog than a lazy ass cat.

^eso, I have a life size replica/statue of that exact type of hawk (Harris, no?) sitting on a low book shelf, looking out my front bay window. When I used to live in the country I tried to find someone who would take an apprentice falconer. XD
I have to say, I really am an animal person. Especially dogs and small mammals, horses, etc. But I have a thing for birds of prey. Harris hawks are particularly interesting. Only bird of prey that hunts in pairs/groups. I guess I just find them to be beautiful, intelligent animals.

For spiritual reasons. I am part of the turtle clan, and this is one of our totemic spirits. As well I love this tattoo as the symbol on the shell is Pisces, my birthsign.

Life size?! That's awesome! Birds of prey are my absolute favorite. I liked the bald eagle the most growing up, and I like any bird of prey that hunts in the water... so Ospreys are really awesome to me. I'm a bird person in general (I have a bird, as you know)... I think she wants to be a falcon when she grows up.

Always great to see a red-tail on a tree or a telephone poll along the side of a road when out driving.
Not exactly my favorite, but another interesting bird is the SORA!

Member of the rail family, the Sora's call is pretty bizarre, especially the second half of the sound clip.

Aye. They eat, sleep, poo, and if there's anything sitting off of the ground, they WILL knock it down... and take off like a bat out of hell.

Haha! Awesome!
Looks real enough to scare off cats or other birds too! When I lived in the city I had a mockingbird who would start chirping at 3 AM... this fake hawk would have been very useful in that situation lol. The craft on that is really good, those feathers look amazing.

My dad gave it to me years ago. lol
I figure it's perfect to scare off pidgeons or pest birds (maybe even rabbits) from a garden. I'm going to give it a try this spring/summer.
