this method works on SD TVs. I'm not sure how it would affect HDTVs but it probably won't increase the display size.
setting it to 16:9 settings seems to cause the SDTV to make it fullscreen, thinking it's a widescreen.
It seems 4:3 setting is not for widescreen, but to show the whole widescreen on a 4:3 display, meaning it will fit the whole widescreen in a SDTV screen by minimizing the widescreen so it fits (which leads to smaller display and black borders on the top and bottom).
but 16:9 setting in fact makes it fullscreen, it cuts off the left and right borders, but for this fighting game that's fine since all the important HUD is still visible and totally looks bigger and better!
