Seeing as how MMOs in the past have hooked me for at most 2 weeks, I don't think this one will be different for me. But I'll try it out since it's SMT-based.

helping the english version get started
There is a company called Aeria games who is doing the english translation for SMT: Imagine if you are a fan of the game, and speak both English and Japanese, could you help them out by doing some translations?
http://forums.aeriagames.com/viewtopic.php?t=176274 is the site to contact them, you will need to translate a simple message to prove you know Japanese
i have multiple posted this same message in multiple different websites, and here, and i personally am going to try and learn japanese i already have a webbook on japanese kana, still on the first chapter

Kana is easy
the real problem is Kanji
While I do know what the items do with my knowladge (the first is a drink that heals you for 20% HP and the second is a bread that heals your MP by 10%) I can't fully translate it since I lack the knowladge to translate most of the kanjis

Ah.
well, ive signed up on so many websites today and posted this message, to think i messed up on all of them... laughable. man, i have a kana workbook, but not access to a computer longterm, so it's difficult for me. although many people say that english is the most complicated language, so maybe i've just got to huff it... thanks for looking at it for me, i hope many others will too. Even if i do learn japanese, others won't.

I hear that "English is the most complicated language" a lot since I came to America and I don't think it's true since you have English everywhere in the world it really sinks in

The main problem with English, I find, is the exceptions.
The rules of Japanese grammar are very different from English, which can be off-putting when learning it, but Japanese is in my opinion a lot better at sticking to its own rules.

This will be my first MMORPG too. And here I was thinking I'd be the only one.
I was wondering if the Japanese - who are already playing Imagine - will join in with us westerners, or if they'll continue on their own? If it's all going to be one big happy MegaTen family then their characters will be MUCH more advanced than ours. Will this be a problem? If it's going to be all one big MegaTen family will westerners be able to purchase already established Japanese character accounts?
Aside from that, is there a site up anywhere at the moment so we can see what kinds of characters there will be to choose from?

^ I know, off topic, but curiosity compels me: Are there really two guys named Zephyr here now, or did you make a seconf account for some reason?

Re: Olethros,
I've only got one account - Zephyr01 - and I'm female.
Does that help?

It's a good thing it's free, so I'll probably just try it for a bit just to be able to wander around in a world / characters which are a modern version of the old school MegaTen games. I love the character avatars in this game in particular. But I don't foresee wanting to play it for a long time.

Yup. There's a guy around here using the name Zephyr as well. I was just curious. Carry on.

This will be the 3rd that I've tried.
My first was Flyff (don't really like the concept of it anymore) and GaiaOnline's zOMG! MMO (close and open beta). I look forward to being accepted (if accepted) into this beta. It'll be fun!

Your first Demon Quest is to get a Leader Pixie, and you can work it out to either keep her, or sacrifice her. Either way you get another demon (one that belonged to another Demon Hunter that died and had been hers, but he wants to be with you now), or two ( a level 10 demon, perhaps depending on saving her).
We hope to see you there. We have a good community of people and we hope this will be a good home for those of us who make the transfer with Shin Megami Tensei from Aeria, whom we deeply will miss.
