Does this mean Gamestop and EB Games will also take preorders starting today?

Hi,

It's weird... Gamestop.com lets you preorder the PS2 version but it's like the Wii version doesn't exist.

I plan on preordering the Wii version -- I assume Gamestop will open preorders for that version as the release approaches, right?

The Wii or PS2 version, that's the real question!

The Wii controls are supposedly well-executed, and I think I read you can use the Classic Controller if you want to be more conventional. So, I think I'd go with the Wii and see which I like better for the game.

I'm going to assume that EB isn't going to have it for Wii (and i'm not going to bother asking the dude at the counter 'cause he's useless). So I might have to actually preorder it.

Default EB Finally Lists Both Verions!

Actually:

PS2:
http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=281848

Wii
http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=230434

I'm going in EB to pre-order the Wii version today as I'm sure this will be one of those "1 + pre-orders" stocked titles.

Does anyone know how GameCrzy is concerning Atlus releases? Sure they list the 03/18/08 release date but do they get these more obscure titles the very next day (03/19/08)?

Every store gets their titles the day after the release date. The release date ( 3/18 ) is the day that the games get shipped out to the stores; depending on where your store is located, the games should be at the store and ready to sell by noon to the late afternoon.

I WISH this were true. I know no store receives games on the date of release but I've seen many an obscure limited release title take several extra days to show up. EB I think is pretty good with this, usually the next day, but not always.

Oh really? Hmm. I think EB/GS pays for better shipping than most of the other stores, so that might explain why. Honestly, there's only one GameCrazy within 50 miles of me and it's in the ghetto, so I just always go to Gamestop.

^EB/GS pays for as little as they can. They might have a better distribution network since they are larger than Gamecrazy or they might have some sort of distribution priority over other chains because of their size and clout. GS cuts corners as much as possible on every avenue possible.

He's doing his one-man boycott because Atlus didn't bother to offer widescreen HD support to the PS2 version like they are for the Wii.

Also he can't buy any Atlus game until they release or at least announce that they will be publishing Etrian Odyssey II.

^Wrong, buddy. When I posted that it was because I was losing interest in the game, an interest which wasn't all that strong to begin with. It's not Atlus' decision to include widescreen; it's Sting's, so why would I fault Atlus for that?

Also, the EO2 thing didn't start till several weeks after I posted that.

Kindly get your information straight before speaking for me. Good job trying to make me look like an ass, only to fail and make yourself look like one. Bravo, and KUTGW.

No you're doing a fine job on your own, Fidel. I KNOW I'm not alone in finding your lack of any sort of tact annoying. You have the right to your opinion but EVERYTHING you say sounds like some ####ING Royal Decree from the Almighty. I suggest you change your sig to something like, "He hath spoken, now go make it so!"

AND the order of things is irrelevant, those were your statements, Buddy-Buddy.

You know, there's an achievement in the Xbox 360 version of Half-Life 2 called Hot Potat0wned. I think Sayck just unlocked it.

If you don't like his comments why don't you just ignore him? Im not normally one to get involved in others arguments, it just seems everyone wants to jump on Sayche just because he's blunt with his opinions.
