Hitoshura VS Raidou?
In a battle between the two who would win? The topic's been brought up a couple times, so I figured I'd ask fellow "Nocturne" fans. As far I'm concerned it's "Hitoshura" hands down!! His powers are ridiculous, and he's incredibly aware of his surroundings. I would like to hear what you other forum members think.

Hard decision...but I'd have to say the Demi-Fiend, since he IS in a demon world all the time.
For those who don't know, Hito-Shura is the Japanese name for the Demi-Fiend...I believe.

Well I have seen how hard the demi-fiend is from the outside, in digital devil saga. I don't thing Raidou could beat him. The demi-fiend kicks Lucifer to the curb and he has the mega pixie.

As mentioned before in the Maniax Chronicle Edition this fight happens and since you need to fight him and beat him at least once, then that pretty much says everything.

This is what the battle theme should have sounded like:

I don't know why Dante's Theme was left in Chronicle, though. Feels weird having Raidou fight to that theme.

They probably just wanted to get rid of Dante from the canon storyline of the SMT series and give an extra incentive for those in Japan who bought the first version of Nocturne that didn't come with the sixth ending + Kalpa extras.

I guess it would be too much troublefull to compose 3 entire new songs for the game, since that time Meguro as with a lot of stuff on his hands.

No, not only that. With Raidou on Amala Universe, and events on Raidou Kuzunoha 2, they just connect the whole thing.
It isn't for nothing that people are hyping ( me included ) SMT IV to the sky. They started something on Nocturne Maniacs, they confirmed and enlarged it on Raidou 1, and connected almost every MegaTen universe and with Raidou 2, they connected even more, and did give some answers with the game + Chronicles few new events.

Oh, I know. I've been playing the Raidou games. Pretty interesting to see how the Persona and SMT series actually branched off. Although Nocturne and P2EP are both alternate worlds from the original SMT world and the Persona world respectively.

As much as I prefer Raidou's style, I think Hitoshura is probably the strongest character in the franchise.

...He is.
When was that ever in question? Raidou was never shown to be all that powerful... In fact, whatever strength he does gain, he seems to lose.
Even Aleph of SMT2 can't compare to Demifiend because it was Aleph + Hiroko and possibly the help of either Lucifer or Satan who helped defeat his final boss.

I think Raidou, Seraph, Demi-Fiend, Aleph, Margaret and that kid from Devil Survivor would all have to be put through a tournament bracket before we'd really know the strongest person in the SMT multiverse.
I have a feeling it would come down to DF and Margaret and I would not bet against Margaret.

Margaret hasn't displayed any real powers or abilities that are noteworthy. She's weaker than Philemon, her creator, and his strength just doesn't compare to people like Raidou, Seraph, or Demi-fiend. I think Aleph would be able to beat him.
I think it's:
Demi-fiend > Raidou > Seraph > Aleph > P4 Protagonist = P3 Protagonist > Margaret > Elizabeth > SMT1 Hero.

It depends of what ending is canon, though... If "King of Bels" or "Kingdom of Saints" is canon, I guess he really is one of the strongest characters in the franchise.

Devil Survivor manga names the MC as Kazuya Minegishi ^^.
Kazuya ends up being pretty strong and I see the King of Bels ending as a canon, it is the one that makes most sense and does reveal a lot from the " whole plot ".
As for Raidou, it is implied that he is as strong as Hitoshura on the Chronicles new events. One time Gouto even hold the guys back and say " it is enough " ( cool cut-scene too ).
Raidou is also known for having millions of demons and god as his assets ( don't remember where exatly you read it, but you do ), and he did slay some major gods too.
Also that Old man on the Wheelchair ask him some major favors. I put the too on the same level.

Both endings explain a lot about the plot of the game, actually.
But yeah, King of Bels seems more likely to be canon.
Maybe Kazuya/Abel is not as strong as Hitoshura, Seraph, Raidou and Aleph, but he easily overpower the Persona and DeSu2 main characters.
I was wondering about Strange Journey MC and Keiji Minegishi (Soul Hackers), what would be their level of power?

No, Lucifer was just using Raidou to challenge the Demi-fiend. By the end of it, Demifiend is clearly stronger.
