P3P MC weapons.
So..
What's the difference between the P3P MC weapons?
I know they're locked into their own weapon, Male, short sword, Female, spear.
I also heard the spear is not the same as Ken's, which is the main reason for thinking her spear has different characteristics.
So, what's the difference between the male short sword and the female spear, in terms of range, accuracy, power and speed?
Examples from P3.
bludgeons would have high power, low speed, medium-to-long range and low accuracy, while the fists would have low power, high speed, short range and high accuracy.
Or did they go the P4 way, and made all weapons equal?

I dunno about the weapons stats, but the female main characters uses a naginata, which can be swung.
And no, they didn't go the Persona 4 route. It makes fighting battles on your own a little harder since you can only do Slash-type attacks.
Interestingly, the naginata is said to be a weapon for females.

Well, that explains why her weapon is different from Ken's..
When I watched some youtube vids, I did notice it looked a lot like the Naginata, but I thought it was just the design of the spear the person was using at that point so I didn't question the youtube comments stating it's a spear, I just assumed it was similar to how Katanas and Longswords were lumped together for Junpei.
From what I know, the Naginata is a fairly fast weapon, so I might like it.. I tend to dislike the slower weapons because they make hitting enemies difficult out of combat..

There were no range or weapon speed statistics in P3. There was only attack power, weapon type, and accuracy.
And I have to say I would HATE making Minato always have a Short Sword. I always had him with Fists or Bludgeon, because that way you actually had a second Strike user to balance out the three existing piercers and slashers. So now there's 4 slashers, three piercers, and one striker and THAT'S ALL FOLKS.

Regardless if the statistics were shown in-game weapons DID have different ranges and speeds..
A bow would have the highest range, while a fist would have the lowest.
But in return, the bow would be the slowest, while a fist would be the fastest.

I actually preferred Minato with the short sword the entire game. I never switched his weapon, and only switched Personas if I needed a striker.

I'm used to all weapons, so the restriction wasn't a big whoop.
The naginata took some getting used to though, since the dungeon slash timing is different from the yari (spear).

ive noticed while playing that the naginata can hit a shadow in dungeon mode (official name for when you're running around?) from a longer distance, and my basic attack is slightly more powerful.
