Default Pre-order Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga (Xbox 360) and get a free art book

THE EARLY DRAGON GETS THE ART: PRE-ORDER DIVINITY II: THE DRAGON KNIGHT SAGA FOR XBOX 360 SYSTEM AND GET A FREE 52-PAGE, FULL COLOR ART BOOK

Get it all for only $39.99!

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA -- FEBRUARY 15, 2011 -- Atlus U.S.A., Inc. today unveiled a pre-order bonus art book for its upcoming action RPG Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga for Xbox®360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Fans who reserve the game at participating retailers will receive The Art of Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga, a 52-page, full color art book (7.5" wide x 5.25" tall) featuring spectacular creature and world designs from the game.

"The war-torn land of Rivellon is, despite the bitter conflict that troubles it, a beautiful place," commented Aram Jabbari, Manager of Public Relations and Sales at Atlus. "It is filled with the most imaginative, wondrous kinds of characters, creatures, and monsters. As we explored the beautiful art created by Larian Studios in the process of realizing Divinity II, we arrived at the inescapable conclusion that a premium collection of the various sketches, renders, and designs from the game, along with comments from the artists themselves, would be the perfect pre-order reward for fans. And for folks who've received one of our art books in the past, they know we take these things rather seriously," Jabbari added, likely prompted by stern glances from the Atlus design team.

"One of the aspects of Divinity II we are most proud of and most eager to share with our fans is the painstaking effort taken by our artists and designers to realize a living, breathing Rivellon to explore and quest in," commented Benoit Louzas, Producer at Larian Studios. "As many reviewers and fans have noted, one of the game's biggest strengths is the originality of its game world, the interesting designs of its characters, monsters, and items, and its many beautiful landscapes and vistas. We are very excited that fans who pre-order the North American verstion of Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga for Xbox 360 system will receive a one-of-a-kind collectible art book featuring not only these renders and sketches, but also comments and thoughts from the artists themselves."

Adding even more appeal is the addition of a soundtrack CD overflowing with music from the game's heroic fantasy score, included free inside every launch copy of the game.

The complete package offers tremendous value to the action RPG gamer: both the art book and soundtrack CD, in addition to the game's 100+ hours of deep, exciting gameplay, can be had for the affordable MSRP of only $39.99!

Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga for Xbox 360 system brings its fast-paced action RPG combat and high-flying dragon battles to North America on April 12, 2011. For more information, visit http://www.divinity2-saga.com.

About Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga
The long-besieged realm of Rivellon continues to be plagued by strife and conflict. Decades ago, the divine prophet of a holy order was murdered by a Dragon Knight. Blessed with superhuman power and the ability to transform into their namesake and take to the skies with the might of fire to aid them, these Knights suddenly became outcasts in Rivellon, condemned for the killing of the holy order's leader. Hunted mercilessly by Slayers, followers of the Divine now vigilantly committed to avenging the assassination of their prophet, the Knights soon became scarce.

During the final attack that would result in the extermination of the Dragon Knights, you-a lone Slayer separated from your group, stumble upon a dying Knight. With her final breath, she grants you her abilities, insisting that all is not as it seems. You arise the last living Dragon Knight, shunned by your former Slayer allies, gifted with supernatural powers, and tasked with exploring the true nature of your age-old conflict...

Key Features
• The complete Divinity II saga in one package -- With the remastered Ego Draconis and its thrilling conclusion Flames of Vengeance together on one jam-packed disc (along with all previously released DLC), The Dragon Knight Saga offers over 100 hours of rich fantasy roleplaying and gamers' first chance to experience the entire Divinity II adventure from start to finish!

• Wage war as human and dragon -- You begin the adventure as a human Dragon Slayer but are soon transformed into a Dragon Knight with the ability to change into dragon form at will. From here, perspectives shift as both your skills and objectives adapt to encompass the concerns of land and air, human and dragon.

• Dynamically unfolding storyline -- Apart from your primary mission, the open land of Rivellon and its many secrets and surprises lie in wait for the daring explorer. Every nook and cranny potentially hides a new path to explore, while the protagonist's ability to read the mind of any NPC can lead to new quests to solve and new areas to discover. Take on over 180 missions, and watch the storyline change according to your choices and skills.

Atlus has the power to make you want to play a game about eating a ham sandwich.

Before saying "no they don't", just think about it. You know they do.

I think you have the power within you Enzeru! Don't go cold turkey, though, just start decreasing your daily intake of kawaii slowly. You might not even notice a difference.

Yes, you should definitely care about this game. It's excellent. You're getting so much content for $39.99.

Divinity II: Ego Draconis Remastered - 40-60 Hours of Content
Divinity II: Flames of Vengeance Expansion - 20-30 Hours of Content
Glorious Soundtrack CD
Art Book w/ Beautiful Divinity Art

This is bargain! How could anyone say no to this? Thanks, Atlus!

Just curious, the soundtrack will still be available at Amazon, right? Because I just got GameStop's weekly ad in my email and they're advertising the soundtrack as a GameStop exclusive.

Missed this one last week somehow. Anyway, yes you will get the soundtrack through Amazon as well.

That's what the bolded part of the PR statement means!

To be fair, GameStop is apparently advertising something that directly conflicts with that bolded part, so this isn't a genuine case of L2R.

That said, it's probably safe for one to always trust us rather than GameStop. (Yes, I have decided to allow myself to use emoticons now, in case anyone noticed the random post where I said I don't use them.)

Well, I'd say shame on GS then but we all know they have none.
