Could SNKP surprise us with 2 new teams in the coming months?

After watching the Gamesinformer video about KOF 13 cant help to wonder if there preparing to treat the fans with 2 new teams?

at minute 6:12 they show story mode ( The Kof teams ) you can see all the teams but if you look theres 2 big spaces on the right hand side.

Will SNKP give us a nice xmas present?

Blank space happens all the time. It's prettier to have that just in case something does get added instead of, you know, having it look like BB's character select. Oh god nothing can be uglier.

The first Box is for Ash, Saiki, and Billy. The second is for the DLC characters. The same menu is used for the challenge mode. In this same vid, I think it's when he goes to challenge mode, you can see Ash + 2 Locked spots under him.

Now, the Story mode blog did say there'd be some additional story perspectives, so something could come for that mode for DLC, or Ash later on, or something, but we'll have to see.

Probably one of the boxes will be for the True Ending (a la BlazBlue). Who knows, although it is doubtful, it could be for the True Ending.

Also, like you said: Edits don't count because they are not teams.

Didn't say it was impossible. But it's unlikely, as the same menu already shows to have a purpose in another mode.

I'd be very happy if they're planning for the future, but I was stating there's already a purpose for that particular block design, in the game, right now. This screen might say "Team select" but the same screen is also used to select your character in other modes. I believe it's used for challenge and character edit modes too, now that I think about it. So unless THOSE screens get modified to fit additional teams too (or additional teams are locked out of those modes, which would be a shame), additional teams are less likely.

I did think about this but and again this is story mode so I do not want to fill myself full of hopes BUT saiki billy and ash are not a team. so lets wait and see .

They could add Botan, Shroom and Rimelo if they want. or two of them and fit them with Saiki as a team.

KOF seriously needs brand new fighters, not just recycled ones. And TFTP are the baddest villains in this saga!
