Aside from GS, I hit up the local hobby and pawn shops and got a bunch of games, for not too much money.

I've been saving my Nintendo points for a long time.

A commission from a rather good artist on DeviantArt, though he was behind on it by a few days. I won't get on his case for it though, the man was under a heavy load of commissions to complete for last month, and it's not like you can rush perfection.

I have bought a Final Fantasy product every month since December. Bought a Guncon 1 with Time Crisis and finally caved into the hype of the Uncharted series, gamestop's 2 for 1 so why not.

After months are people praising Skyrim, finally picked up a copy for a major discount.

You got a discount because the PS3 version is broken.
Good luck getting through the game, you'll need it.

I heard about that bug and I have yet to experience it. I have already put in over 50 hours into the game and have yet to encounter any problems. Maybe a little more playing time?
Nothing I can really do anyways, the PS3 version is the only way I can experience this game atm.

That box is so freakishly huge, that it kills the appeal of it all by itself.
What the f**k do they expect people to do with that? Where the hell are we even supposed to display it? Scratch that - even if we do find the perfect spot, the fact of the matter is, it's freaking overkill regardless. You might as well construct a godamn fountain for it or something on your front yard.
If they're trying to one-up Blizzard's special editions, they succeeded. But in all the wrong ways.

Well it's too bad it's that or nothing. And it's not a case of one bug. It's bugS. Plural. And plentiful.

I've definitely encounter bugs and two hard reset, but I've yet to encounter the one where it messes with your save data. That was the bug I thought you were referring to since it was one of the major one.
As stated though, it's the only way I can play this game as of now.

I think they fixed the really bad ones. Like on the xbox there was one that messed up your vision permanently if you did a certain quest in all of your games. That one is fixed.
Please note if you activate the Staff of Magnus quest, you cant complete any Side quests for the Mages until its finished. This also effects a quest for the Thieves Guild, because the NPC is in Windhelm, if the Staff of Magnus quest is incomplete, he wont give you dialog options.
Oh, and it seems the Dragon Flying Backwards glitch is still about, if you see it, dont fight the dragon, just run from it, the glitch makes it hard to fight it because when you get close you start to lag like crazy.

My old ps3 only played ps2 games. Then it quit playing games in favor of showing a blinking yellow light.
Luckily I have a ps2 back home that just loves playing ps2 games. Absolutely its most favorite thing to do in the world besides sleep.

Finally going to post some spoils with a camera that doesn't make it look like I've had too much caffeine. *twitch twitch* (Except that last pic... ugh)

Some shirts for everyday wear...

A t-shirt from Roger Water's The Wall tour. Nice grey pinstripe, black waistcoat and white tie for everyday wear too.

Huke's artbook, 'BLK'. Some really great illustrations.

The figma that came with BLK. It's... pointy.

Soulcalibur V Collector's Edition.

I got it through Play-Asia for about $95 US. That was with the figma, however. It seems that the normal version will be cheaper, but Play-Asia at the very least only has the limited figma version for now, with the normal version coming out during the month sometime.

F**k Play-Asia. Their prices are always inflated by at least $10. Not counting the ridiculous shipping. More on the latter: I almost snagged a copy of DJ Max Portable Hot Tunes Limited Edition there for about $25...only to discover the cheapest shipping option was $55.

They were a cheaper option for me for a while. Their shipping was rockbottom for a good while too thanks to geographic proximity I suppose.
Now, however, they don't allow for Fedex or UPS (UPS was like $20 and got here within 2 days on average) and their standard shipping is now $20 minimum from about, I dunno, $10 maximum?
Seriously tempted to switch to Ami-Ami for what I can now. They seem to be cheaper in general, if annoying with the way they handle postage pricing.

$10 on average compared to who? The last time I was in Japan, I was actually impressed by how low the prices at Play-Asia were compared to what retail prices were in Japan. A lot of the recent releases were exactly the same price. Same goes for shipping - especially when using EMS. I haven't found that PA charges any more than anyone else shipping from East Asia. At least not a dramatic amount. Maybe I just don't shop around enough.
edit - Have shipping charges gone up at PA recently Topo?
edit 2 - I probably should have mentioned I was price checking games. I do think there is a mark up on books. :/

Yeah, it seems they have for me in Australia anyway. Standard shipping costs were usually under $10, and EMS rarely went over $20 if I remember correctly. It was sometime last year, around August I believe, when I noticed the changes.
The biggest change was no longer offering courier services at all. I used to always pick UPS or Fedex for shipping because the average price was about $20 to get it to Australia within 3 days. I was always willing to pay extra to avoid the wait, you see.
Now, they only seem to offer standard SpeedPost style shipping at over $20... A bit of a dissappointment to say the least.
While these changes could be Australia only for some reason, I doubt it. There is a rather large stink here from local business about the $1000 tax-free threshold on imports, but I don't see how that would affect it, now that I think about it... Unless PA is trying to take advantage of the situation and make more money? Eh, I don't know.

Compared to eBay sellers and other sites like J-List and even NCSX are much cheaper than Play-Asia. Last year I wanted to order a PS3 import from Play-Asia which was priced at $48.90, so I added a ramen noddle soup for $3 and change to my order and was surprised to see my shipping jump from $5 to $17. It was just a huge disgusting jump in shipping that I didn't go through with the order. The reason I added the soup to the order was because I had a $5 off $50 coupon and I had done this plenty of times in the past before, but the extra charge on shipping was always $1-2 never $17.
FedEX, UPS and EMS shipping options were priced competitively from $17-26. Play-Asia's only option now is a flat $45 for EMS. No choices and nothing cheaper.
Like JC mentioned in another thread you're much better off ordering anywhere else other than Play-Asia.
